A Randomized Controlled Trial on Improving Prostate Cancer Screening Among Black Men in Oklahoma Using A Community-Based mHealth Approach

The PHF Bridge Grant is intended to strengthen the Prostate Cancer Genius App (PCGA) in response to feedback from the June 2025 NIH R01 review. Specifically, it addresses critiques related to social needs assessment, follow-up pathways for uninsured men, and evidence that the intervention can impact psychosocial factors associated with screening hesitancy. This funding supports refining the app to make the next NIH submission more competitive and better aligned with the needs of Black men in Oklahoma.
