This study will enroll 60 individuals 18 years old and above. Those who meet eligibility criteria and complete an office visit will earn money. This study characterizes the inflammatory patterns present in cannabis and electronic cigarette users with the ultimate goal of improving human health.
The use of cannabis products has dramatically increased in Oklahoma since the legalization of medical marijuana in 2018. However, the anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory effects of cannabis use are not fully understood. Moreover, smoked cannabis which delivers high levels of toxic chemicals is the most common form of use and most cannabis users also use tobacco products.
